PAS Owner and Director, Stacy Anderson, is a highly motivated and enthusiastic educator, as well as experienced coordinator and manager with a strong dedication to children, the field of education, and the community.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1990, from Louisiana Tech, and her Master of Arts, Special Education in 1997, from the University of Houston.  She has been a Learning Specialist and Special Education teacher at The Joy School since 2005. Stacy has been tutoring for over 10 years for children 3-18 years of age. She launched Premier Academic Solutions with an emphasis on Study Skills classes and test preparation for children in 2012.  In addition to her passion for teaching, Stacy has been an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 2002 and serves as a Vice Chairman on both the Gatekeepers and Special Children's committees.  As a Vice Chairman for the Special Children's committee she is over the Top Hands Horse Show for children and adults with special needs.  Stacy is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, and has lived in Houston for over 20 years, where she and her husband Ron are raising their two teenage daughters who both attend The Kinkaid School.

PAS teacher, Sara Matthews is an experienced and energetic educator. She is an eighteen year experienced and schooled professional educator.  Sara is a recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education in 1996 from Baylor University. In 2012 she was awarded her Masters of Arts in Special Education from the University of Houston. In accordance with the state of Texas professional licensing requirements she was certified as an Educational Diagnostician. Currently, she is a Learning Specialist at The Joy School. Sara is highly regarded by her peers for her unique skill set in developing successful student goal oriented results in broad consultation and her active support of parent involvement.  Additionally, she applies the aforementioned skills sets in private tutoring and diagnostic testing ages 4-16.  She currently offers WPPSI-IV (Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence) testing.  Sara attended elementary and secondary schools in several states, but primarily in the Washington, D.C. Virginia suburbs. She is actively involved in volunteering for two committees for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her nieces and nephew.

PAS teacher, Tammy Christou, is an experienced, dedicated and knowledgeable educator. She has been teaching for 21 years.  Tammy taught in Spring Branch and Austin before becoming a learning specialist at The Joy School.  She joined PAS in 2013 and has taught our study skills class as well as working with private clients.  She received her Bachelor of Education from Sam Houston State College in 1993 and has continued to hold onto her passion for teaching.  Tammy has been a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center and has been tutoring privately for the past 15 years with students ranging in ages from 6-18 years old.  Some of her passions in teaching are: reading strategies, comprehension, vocabulary, Orton Gillingham Phonics, Spatial Awareness skills and teaching the SOAR Study Skills classes.  Organization is another of her passions as well.  Tammy is a native of Houston, Texas and resides here with her husband and twin two year old girls.
